Biography:

Bediru Abamecha Sheki is Currently working with HelpAge International as Country Health Program Manager in Myanmar. He was born and raised in Ethiopia and acquired Doctorate in Public Health from the University of South Africa with Master of Public Health specialized in reproductive health (MPH/RH) from Jimma University, Ethiopia with Public health background. He has several years of experience in leadership and management of development and humanitarian projects especially in public health supported by international donors both in Africa and Asia. He has published More than 6 research articles on international Journals in the areas of Reproductive Health, Gender and HIV/AIDS. He has successfully designed and implemented projects with an advanced understanding of Project cycle Management, Results-based management and Collaborative learning and adaptation (CLA) framework with practical field experiences in developing countries. Furthermore, he has presented research papers and case studies on different international conferences and organized different workshops and seminars. He has also managed funds from international donors such as USAID, EU, WB, DFID, JICA, and UN organizations and delivered quality results.
